  • Production - Module 5 (Basic Mastering)

    Note: this session teaches hands on music engineering skills. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance and a foundation knowledge of the skills needed to achieve a great sounding track that is ready for performance and/or release. Lesson lengths are approximate. This is Module 5 of our Music Production course which is delivered 1 on 1, face to face at one of our studios we have available (in the north of England) by one of our experienced Producers. This session follows on directly from "Production - Module 4". In this module we look at some fundamental points and techniques for mastering a track ready for playing in the club or release. Mastering is the essential final stage in achieving a great sounding track. Mastering is what allows your track to compete or even outshine when compared to other similar tracks.     Note: this is a basic underpinning knowledge session and does not teach hands on music production skills. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance and a foundation knowledge of the music business. Lesson lengths are approximate. This is Module 7 of our Music Production course which is delivered online via video conference by one of our experienced industry managers. In this module we look at some basic elements of the music business side of things including an introduction to copyright, publishing, distribution and music contracts.     Note: this is a basic underpinning knowledge session and does not teach hands on music production skills. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance and a basic level knowledge of music production equipment and how to set it up properly. Lesson lengths are approximate. This is Module 1 of our Music Production course which is delivered 1 on 1 (only 1 person per booking can attend), using online video conferencing software, by one of our experienced Producers. Certain equipment is required - see "Prerequisites" section below. This session is intended to start at the very beginning of your learning journey. In this module we look briefly at the origins and history of modern music production before identifying and understanding some of the basic equipment used.     This is Module 2 of our DJ course which is delivered 1 on 1, face to face at one of our studios we have available (in the north of England) by one of our experienced DJ trainers. This session follows on directly from "Learn to DJ - Module 1" and is intended to be the core part of our DJ'ing course - basically if you could only do one module to get you up and DJ'ing it would be this one. In this module we look at the fundamentals of DJ'ing properly using your ears in the first instance then moving on to DJ'ing using modern equipment. Note: this session teaches hands on DJ'ing. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance and an excellent knowledge of the skills needed to physically get DJ'ing properly at a basic level. This is Module 3 of our Music Production course which is delivered 1 on 1 (only 1 person per booking can attend), using online video conferencing software, by one of our experienced Producers. In this module we look at the fundamentals of recording sound properly, manipulating samples and and an introduction to sound design using VSTs.     This is Module 5 of our DJ course which is delivered 1 on 1, face to face at one of our studios we have available (in the north of England) by one of our experienced DJ trainers. This session is the final module in our "Learn to DJ" course. In this module we look at some of the practical, legal and less talked about elements of becoming and being a professional. We will focus on who you want to be as an artist and how your behaviour and appearance can effect what you do. As part of this service you will be provided with a bespoke Booking Agreement (Performance Contract) to use when agreeing the terms of your performances with clients. Note: this is an underpinning knowledge session and does not teach hands on DJ'ing/performance skills. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance.
