  • Production - Module 6 (Tricks & Secrets)

    Note: this session teaches hands on music production skills. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance and a foundation knowledge of the skills needed to create detailed and unique tracks. Lesson lengths are approximate. This is Module 6 of our Music Production course which is delivered 1 on 1, face to face at one of our studios we have available (in the north of England) by one of our experienced Producers. In this module we look at some known and closely guarded secrets on the artistic side of production. The tricks behind largeness, common sound emulation and details that set great tracks apart from the rest. Prerequisite: People attending this session must have attended Module 4 and/or have an excellent knowledge of at least one Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) and previous experience using audio samples and Virtual Studio Technology (VSTs).   • Learn to DJ - Module 5 (be professional)

    This is Module 5 of our DJ course which is delivered 1 on 1, face to face at one of our studios we have available (in the north of England) by one of our experienced DJ trainers. This session is the final module in our "Learn to DJ" course. In this module we look at some of the practical, legal and less talked about elements of becoming and being a professional. We will focus on who you want to be as an artist and how your behaviour and appearance can effect what you do. As part of this service you will be provided with a bespoke Booking Agreement (Performance Contract) to use when agreeing the terms of your performances with clients. Note: this is an underpinning knowledge session and does not teach hands on DJ'ing/performance skills. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance. After this session you will be able to demonstrate professionalism with promoters and other artists. Minimum Age: 16 (please contact us direct to discuss teaching children under the age of 16). Prerequisite: Ideally people attending this session should be capable of preparing performances and mixing music using modern DJ'ing equipment (i.e. you should be ready for or already taking bookings as a DJ).   • Production - Module 2 (The Basics)

    Note: this session teaches hands on music production skills. You will leave with a certificate acknowledging your attendance and an excellent knowledge of the skills needed to start producing at a basic level. Lesson lengths are approximate. This is Module 2 of our Music Production course which is delivered 1 on 1 (only 1 person per booking can attend), using online video conferencing software, by one of our experienced Producers. Certain equipment is required - see "Prerequisites" section below. This session follows on directly from "Production - Module 1" and is intended to be the core part of our Production course - basically if you could only do one module to get you up and producing at a basic level, it would be this one. In this module we look at the fundamentals of music production using modern technology. Minimum Age: 16 (please contact us directly at tios@ravemail.com to discuss teaching children under the age of 16). Prerequisites: Knowledge: There are no knowledge prerequisites for this session. The session is open to anyone wanting to learn the subject(s) mentioned below. Equipment: You MUST HAVE a computer or other device with an internet connection. The device must be capable of reproducing sound clearly. This session is also based around a visual presentation of music software so you must be able to see the material using the screen on your device.
